What browsing involves
Your browser sends the network request needed to deliver the requested page, image or video. The public pages do not access customer records, create an application session, or use advertising, external analytics, tracking pixels or third-party video embeds.
- The front access log records the client IP address, request method, URL path and response status. Query strings and page-search terms are excluded from that log format.
- Knowledge-base searches run locally in the current page. Search text is not sent to a search service or saved in browser storage.
- Films, captions, scripts and images are served by the website itself. Public language selection is part of the URL and creates no preference cookie.
Purpose, legal basis, recipients and retention
Technical request data supports page delivery, availability and proportionate abuse prevention. The applicable GDPR basis for this public-site security purpose is Article 6(1)(f), subject to the operator’s documented necessity and balancing assessment. This is not marketing consent. Authorised operations personnel and contracted infrastructure providers may process technical data for that purpose; exact hosting, transfer safeguards and log-retention details must be completed for the actual installation.
- Privacy enquiries are used to answer the request; GDPR Articles 6(1)(c) and 12–22 apply where handling a statutory rights request is required.
- Personal data is kept only as long as its stated purpose or applicable legal obligation requires. This draft does not promise an unverified number of retention days.
- Sending an email uses your email provider and the recipient’s email infrastructure. Include only the information needed to identify and handle your request; never send passwords or one-time codes.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and complain to the competent data-protection supervisory authority, including in the country of your habitual residence or workplace. A rights request does not require a website account.
- Contact privacy@myrentory.com. Additional information may be requested only where necessary to verify identity and scope.
- Rights requests are normally answered within one month; any permitted extension and its reason must be communicated under GDPR Article 12.
- The public website does not use automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions about visitors.
Registration and the signed-in service
Login, registration, account management and rental records belong to separate service surfaces with their own processing and security controls. This public-site notice does not replace the full service notice or the relevant landlord/controller’s information. Follow the service notice for its data categories, purposes, recipients, retention, erasure and browser-storage inventory.
Changes to this notice
The public-site privacy and cookie notices are maintained alongside website development. New storage, external services or material changes to processing must be described before activation. Public notices have their own year.sequence version; a technical or visual change alone does not require service users to accept a new legal version.
